For the integrity of ongoing criminal cases and in the interest of each subject’s privacy, we have removed personally identifying information from the narratives as well as information not subject to public disclosure. All criminal defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
Air Wing Assists in Finding Missing Girl
During an evening patrol, Air 4 responded to assist ground assets in the search for a missing 12-year-old girl in Haverhill. The girl was reportedly wearing only a t-shirt and pants and first responders feared for her safety in light of the cold winter temperatures.
Immediately upon arriving to the area, the crew of Air 4 began an aerial search of the surrounding neighborhoods utilizing advanced cameras and quickly observed a person matching the girl’s description walking along a street. Using the full-color camera and the last bit of daylight, Troopers confirmed this was in fact a young girl matching the general description of the missing party.
The crew relayed this information to nearby Troopers and Officers on the ground, who quickly recovered the missing girl unharmed.

Traffic Stop Results in Ammunition and Drug Seizure
Shortly after starting his day shift, a Trooper assigned to the Sturbridge Barracks stopped a rideshare vehicle on Interstate 84 in Sturbridge. While speaking with the passengers inside, Troopers identified a person seated in the rear who was found to be the subject of fully extraditable warrants from both New York and New Jersey.
As Troopers took him into custody, the man stated that he did not wish to take his belongings with him and requested to have the rideshare driver take them home, which the driver declined.
Troopers took possession of the belongings conducted an inventory. They discovered a gallon size zip lock bag containing approximately 500 grams of Crack and powder Cocaine and a knotted plastic sandwich bag with 15 rounds of 9mm hollow point ammunition. The passenger was transported to a barracks for booking on several new charges.

Speeding Driver Arrested with Drugs, Cash
During a day shift, a Trooper assigned to the Holden Barracks observed a vehicle traveling 90 miles per hour in a 65 mph zone on Interstate 290 in Worcester. The Trooper caught up to the vehicle and observed it accelerate to speeds well over 100 mph before slowing and eventually stopping in the breakdown lane. After stopping behind the vehicle, the Trooper approached to speak with the driver.
In conversation, the driver identified himself verbally because he said he didn’t have identification. The Trooper observed several signs of potential drug activity and removed the driver from the vehicle. With the driver removed, the Trooper located more than $34,000 in cash, Crack Cocaine, and a Connecticut driver’s license belonging to another person. The driver was placed under arrest and transported to the Barracks for booking.

Troopers Arrest Intoxicated Driver after Crash
Not long after sunset, Troopers assigned to the Charlton Barracks responded to reports of a crash on Interstate 90. Upon arrival, the Troopers observed the vehicle’s occupants attempting to change a tire damaged during the crash and quickly noticed signs of recent drug use by the driver. While investigating on scene, the driver became extremely aggressive, threatening the Troopers multiple times. He was eventually placed under arrest and transported to the Barracks for booking. Troopers also seized a small amount of Heroin belonging to the driver.

Traffic Stop for Snow on Vehicle Results in Seizure of Stolen Gun
Shortly after starting their dayshift, a Trooper assigned to the Middleboro Barracks conducted a traffic stop on Route 24 in Raynham. The driver of the vehicle failed to remove a large amount of snow on the rear window prior to getting on the road.
During the stop, the Trooper approached the vehicle to speak with the driver and requested his license and registration. While the driver was retrieving his registration from the glovebox the Trooper observed the handle of a firearm inside.
After confirming that none of two occupants had a license to carry firearms, the Trooper removed them from the vehicle. The Trooper conducted a thorough investigation on scene and learned that the firearm was reported stolen from Ohio. The driver was placed under arrest without incident and transported to the Middleboro Barracks for booking.

Traffic Stop for Erratic Driving Results in Seizure of Ghost Gun
During an evening shift, a Trooper and his Field Training Officer assigned to the Bourne Barracks observed a vehicle rapidly accelerating through the parking lot of a shopping plaza. The vehicle abruptly exited the lot onto a local road and accelerated to speeds well above the posted limit. Troopers activated their blue lights, caught up to the vehicle, and signaled it to stop.
After an investigation, Troopers found the driver in possession of a loaded handgun. The gun had no serial number markings, rending it untraceable, commonly referred to as a “ghost gun.”
Troopers also found the driver did not have a license to carry firearms.
For his action, Troopers placed the man under arrest and transported him to the Barracks for booking for several charges, including Illegal Possession of a Firearm, Possession of a Firearm with Prior Violent/Drug Crime Convictions, and Possession of Untraceable Firearm.

Irate Airline Passenger Arrested
Troopers assigned to Logan Airport responded to an argument between an irate customer and employees at an airline ticket counter in Terminal B.
Once on scene, Troopers intervened and identified the customer. When Troopers learned she was wanted for crimes committed in New Hampshire, they placed here in custody without incident.

Traffic Stop for Revoked License Plates leads to Firearm Seizure
At the end of a day shift, a Trooper assigned to the South Boston Barracks stopped a vehicle with revoked license plates (resulting from the cancellation of insurance). After speaking with the driver, the Trooper learned that the individual was driving with a suspended license. The driver was removed from the vehicle and placed under arrest without incident.
Prior to towing the vehicle, Troopers conducted an inventory of its contents and located a loaded firearm. The driver was not licensed to possess firearms, which resulted in additional criminal charges.

Troopers Respond to Rideshare Drive with Combative Passenger
During a midnight shift, Troopers assigned to the Milton Barracks responded to a 911 call from the driver of a rideshare vehicle.
The driver reported that a passenger in his vehicle threatened him with a knife on Route 24 in Randolph. The passenger’s erratic behavior caused the driver to feel so unsafe that he pulled over and exited his vehicle. When he did, the passenger also exited and chased him on foot. Eventually, the driver was able to reenter his car and flee the scene before calling 911.
Once on scene, Troopers located the passenger on foot along the wood line of the highway. Appearing argumentative and intoxicated, the man did not initially follow directions of Troopers. Trooper eventually placed him under arrest and transported him to the Milton Barracks for booking. He was charged with Assault with a Dangerous Weapon and Disorderly Conduct.
