GREENFIELD – Shortly before 10 p.m. on October 14, Trooper Clifford Gervais, assigned to State Police-Shelburne Falls, observed a Subaru Impreza with an unreadable license plate. Trooper Gervais activated his blue lights and stopped the vehicle on Route 91northbound in Greenfield. Once stopped, the Trooper approached the vehicle and identified the operator as Isaac Hodgdon, 25, of Randolph, Vt.
After a quick conversation with the operator, Trooper Gervais discovered that the insurance on the vehicle had lapsed and requested a tow truck respond to the scene. Prior to removing the vehicle, Trooper Gervais conducted an inventory of its contents and discovered numerous firearms located inside, Hodgdon is not licensed to carry firearms. After conducting a follow up search, the Trooper located a large amount of various substances, including a combined amount of more than 300 grams of Cocaine and Fentanyl.
Hodgdon was placed under arrest and transported to a barracks for booking, where a $25,000 bail amount was set. He was eventually arraigned at Greenfield District Court for twelve criminal violations, including numerous narcotics and firearms related offenses.
