Throughout August 2024, members of the Commonwealth Interstate Narcotics Reduction Enforcement Team-South, consisting of Troopers and Officers with Brockton, East Bridgewater, Hingham Police Departments, and a Special Agent with Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) initiated a narcotics investigation targeting Josue Torres, 38, of Brockton, for distributing massive amounts of Fentanyl and Cocaine throughout Plymouth and Norfolk Counties.
Investigators completed controlled narcotics purchases, conducted extensive traditional surveillance, record checks & analysis, and utilized court ordered covert surveillance. Throughout the investigation, Torres had changed addresses between Brockton, Stoughton and Randolph and conducted numerous narcotics sales in those areas.
Today, October 22, three search warrants were simultaneously executed in Brockton and Stoughton resulting in the arrest of Torres as well as the seizure of nearly 940 grams of Cocaine, 280 grams of Crack Cocaine, a small amount of Fentanyl, and an unregistered/unmarked 9mm “ghost gun” loaded with 13 rounds of ammunition in a high capacity magazine.
Torres was arraigned at Brockton District Court where his bail was revoked due to pending trafficking Fentanyl and Cocaine charges out of Plymouth District Court. He was ordered to be held on $150,000 bail on these new charges, which are now being prosecuted by the Massachusetts Attorney General’s Office.
