As an independent non-profit organization, the Police Activities League (PAL) of Massachusetts seeks to foster a culture of empathy and understanding between law enforcement and local communities. Through programs that promote development of character, improve educational outcomes, and reduce crime; PAL collaborates with a variety of law enforcement and community partners.
PAL remains focused on building positive and impactful relationships between cops and kids. Implementing strategies to support and deliver community policing programs, PAL strives to positively impact, inspire and empower youth.
Throughout the year, PAL has partnered with the Massachusetts State Police to host a variety of athletic leagues, games, clinics and adventures with local youth in many communities around the Commonwealth. This past Tuesday, PAL hosted 80 guests at the first ever WNBA game at TD Garden, between the Connecticut Sun and LA Sparks.
The group consisted of youth from Lowell and Quincy, two communities that PAL has built a presence in with Unity Basketball League games, clinics, and activities. In collaboration with the MSP TEAM program, Troopers and cadets joined the young athletes at the TD Garden, along with our partners from the Lowell Police Department, as we continue to engage our youth in positive experiences and meaningful interactions with law enforcement.
