The 41 members of the Massachusetts State Police Cadet Class #2 have begun training. Today, under rainy skies outside General Headquarters, they were drilled on formation and marching skills by Lieutenant David Nims. Over the next one to two years, these young men and women will gain experience in basic administrative law enforcement duties, while simultaneously honing their physical fitness and observing a wide range of MSP operations and duties. Upon successful completion of the program, cadets are eligible to seek admission to the next Recruit Training Troop, where recruits are turned into MSP Troopers.
