On Thursday morning, law enforcement officials from the Massachusetts State Police, Lawrence Police, and the federal Drug Enforcement Administration executed a warrant at a third-story residence on Bailey Street in Lawrence. The warrant was the result of an investigation into Fentanyl and Methamphetamine trafficking linked to a male suspect who was believed to be using a false identity.
Once inside, police secured the residence and located two individuals, including the suspect. During a search, Police located large quantity and variety of narcotics, three firearms concealed within furniture, materials commonly used package and process narcotics, and approximately $15,000 in cash.
Police also located documents, including a foreign passport, identifying the suspect by his true identity, Xavier Jose Perez-Tejeda, 32, of the Dominican Republic. Police transported Perez-Tejeda to the Andover Barracks for booking. Perez-Tejeda was arranged in Lawrence District Court.
