Fugitive Unit Captures Man who Opened Fire on Car in Lynn Last Week

A short time ago Troopers from our Violent Fugitive Apprehension Section located and arrested ANTHONY GUTIERREZ, 23, who was wanted for opening fire on a car last Wednesday afternoon in Lynn. VFAS Troopers apprehended the suspect in Salem.

The gunfire did not hit the occupant of the vehicle whom GUTIERREZ is believed to have been targeting. After the attempted shooting GUTIERREZ fled on foot, sparking an intensive manhunt and a shelter-in-place order and lockdown of local schools.
