In the last several months, members of the Commonwealth Interstate Narcotics Reduction Enforcement Team (CINRET) investigated narcotics trafficking across Suffolk, Norfolk, and Plymouth Counties. CINRET Intelligence indicated that JERMIAH BOSWELL, 24, of Dorchester, was distributing quantities of narcotics through a delivery service. CINRET investigators completed extensive traditional and covert surveillance, record checks, and intelligence analysis. The investigation led to warrants being sought and granted to search for all controlled substances at BOSWELL’s Dorchester residence and inside his vehicle.
On Tuesday, June 11, 2024, CINRET Troopers and officers executing the search warrant followed BOSWELL in his vehicle after he departed his residence and conducted a traffic stop. BOSWELL was detained, searched, and brought back to his address. Meanwhile, members executed the “knock and announce” search warrant on BOSWELL’s home.
The searches led to the seizure of five loaded firearms including a rifle, four high-capacity magazines, a large amount of ammunition in three different calibers, counterfeit oxycodone pills made of fentanyl, methamphetamine, and cash. Two of the firearms seized did not have serial numbers. BOSWELL was arrested along with DAWNELE STAFFORD, 30, of Dorchester. BOSWELL and STAFFORD were transported to SP-Milton Barracks to be booked, fingerprinted and photographed.
JERMIAH BOSWELL and DAWNELE STAFFORD were arraigned in Dorchester District Court on charges of:
1. Unlawful Possession Of A Firearm (Three Counts);
2. Unlawful Possession Of A High Capacity Feeding Device (Three Counts); and
