Update: State Police Identify Victim of Fatal Crash in Randolph

The victim in yesterday’s fatal crash on Route 24 in Randolph has been identified as Isbraham Rosa, 20, of Boston. No other information is available at this time. Original release below:

At approximately 3:50 p.m. today Troopers assigned to State Police-Milton responded to reports of a vehicle that went off the road on Route 24 northbound prior to Exit 21 in Randolph. The crash resulted in the fatality of the operator.

Preliminary investigation indicates that a 2008 Infiniti G35 was traveling on Route 24 northbound prior to Exit 21 when it changed from the left lane to the middle lanes at a high rate of speed. The Infiniti lost control and went off the roadway and rolled over into a tree. The operator and sole occupant was pronounced deceased at the scene. He has been identified as a 20-year-old Boston man. His name is not being released at this time.

The crash remains under investigation by Troop H of the Massachusetts State Police with assistance from the State Police Collision Analysis, Reconstruction Section and the State Police Crime Scene Services Section, and the H Troop Detective Unit.

Troopers were assisted by MassDOT, Randolph Fire and EMS, and the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner. The right travel lane was closed for 3 ½ hours while the investigation was being conducted.
