The victim in this morning’s crash is identified as Michael Creech, 35, of Weymouth. Preliminary investigation indicates Mr. Creech was driving a 2003 Toyota Corolla that came in contact with a 2015 Jeep Wrangler causing the Corolla to roll over multiple times.
The driver of the Wrangler, a 61-year-old Saugus man, had no apparent injuries.
The investigation is ongoing. No further information is being released today.
MSP Investigating Fatal Route 95 Wakefield
At 5:28 a.m. Troopers from the State Police-Danvers Barracks responded to a rollover crash on Route 95 southbound in Wakefield. The crash resulted in the fatality of the operator.
The victim has been identified as a 35-year-old male from Massachushetts. His name and hometown are not being released at this time pending next-of-kin notification protocols. The victim was transported to Lahey Hospital in Burlington, where he was pronounced deceased.
The cause of the crash is under investigation by Troop A of the Massachushetts State Police with assistance from the State Police Crime Scene Services Section and the State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Section.
The crash necessitated the closure of two highway lanes for approximately two hours to accommodate the rescue response and investigation.
