Massachusetts State Police Statement: Current Homeland Security Operations

The Massachusetts State Police continue to receive and assess intelligence from our federal partners regarding potential threats to homeland security as a result of heightened tension between the United States and Iran. To date, we are aware of no specific or credible threats to the Commonwealth.

The Department’s Fusion Center will continue to coordinate with federal law enforcement partners to monitor incoming intelligence and will share any relevant information with public safety agencies throughout the state.

MSP patrols maintain their standard stance of high alert and heightened situational awareness at airports, seaports, and critical infrastructure throughout the state. We are prepared to adjust deployment of assets as needed as warranted by incoming intelligence.

As always, any member of the public who sees anyone or anything suspicious or seemingly out of place should call 911 immediately.
