UPDATE: TWO ADDITIONAL SUSPECTS CAPTURED; TOTAL OF 3 NOW IN CUSTODY, At Least One Other Being Actively Sought in Joint Investigation into Auto Theft Crew

Two additional suspects who fled from the initial crashes in this incident were captured overnight by Sharon Police following an exhaustive multi-agency search and were booked at State Police-Foxboro, bringing the total number of suspects arrested to three.  The accomplice who was arrested previously was treated at Good Samaritan Hospital in Brockton and was also transported to State Police-Foxboro.

At least one additional suspect — who fled in the Jeep Compass down Route 95 and fled on foot after crashing in North Attleboro — was not located despite a several-hour long search. That suspect or suspects are the focus of ongoing investigation.

The men are suspected members of a Rhode Island-based auto theft crew believed responsible for thefts of vehicles, as well as tires and rims from vehicles, in several communities south of Boston.
Several vehicles were recovered from the overnight incidents and were taken to MSP facilities as part of the ongoing investigation.

We will update with the prisoners’ names and arraignment information later today.
