Holyoke Man Arrested Trafficking Cocaine and Heroin in Holyoke

Last evening, at approximately 9:35 p.m., Trooper Robert Berrena, who is assigned to the Troop B Community Action Team, was on patrol in the city of Holyoke, when he stopped a GMC Yukon on Beech Street after observing the SUV travelling down the roadway without any lights on.

The driver was identified as EUGENIO G. RIVERA-NARVAEZ, 33, of Holyoke. After a brief investigation, RIVERA-NARVAEZ was found to be in possession of approximately 149 grams of heroin (7,450 baggies), 179.2 grams of crack cocaine, and over $3,700 in U.S. currency. RIVERA-NARVAEZ was also found to be operating the SUV with a suspended driver’s license.

RIVERA-NARVAEZ was placed under arrest and transported to the State Police – Northampton Barracks for booking.

RIVERA-NARVAEZ is charged with the following offenses:
1.            Lights violation
2.            Operating after license suspension
3.            Trafficking in heroin/morphine/fentanyl (Class A Substance)
4.            Trafficking in cocaine/crack cocaine (Class B Substance)

RIVERA-NARVAEZ was held on $100,000 bail and transported to the Hampshire County House of Correction to await arraignment this morning in Holyoke District Court.
