Fitchburg Man Arrested For Possession of Narcotics

This past Tuesday, August 20, at about 5:20 p.m., a motor vehicle stop in Fitchburg by troopers assigned to the Troop C Community Action Team (CAT) led to the arrest of a Fitchburg man for possession of heroin and cocaine.

Troop C CAT Troopers were on patrol on Main Street when they observed a black Jeep Grand Cherokee fail to stop at the intersection of Pearl and Blossom Streets. There were two occupants in the car.  As the troopers effected a motor vehicle stop, the rear passenger, later identified as CHRISTIAN PIERCE, 21, opened the rear door and fled. All three troopers chased after PIERCE on foot and were able to detain him as he attempted to climb a 6’ fence near the intersection of Ryefield Avenue.

PIERCE was placed under arrest and transported to the Leominster Barracks where he was charged with the following offenses:

1. Possession to Distribute Class A;

2. Possession to Distribute Class B; and

3. Failure to Wear Seat Belt.

Approximately 16 grams of cocaine and 12 grams of heroin were seized from PIERCE. He was to be arraigned in Fitchburg District Court yesterday.
