Update: Victim of Fatal Crash in Hull Identified

UPDATE: The victim of the fatal crash on George Washington Boulevard in Hull on August 1 has been identified as Robert Davis, 67, of Hull.

The crash remains under investigation by Troop D of the Massachusetts State Police, the State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Section, the State Police Crime Scene Services Section, and the State Police Detective Unit for Plymouth County.

The Massachusetts State Police are investigating a crash that resulted in the death of a male pedestrian in Hull last night.

The deceased is a 67-year-old Hull man. He was struck by a Ford Transit van operated by a 49-year-old Hull man.

Preliminary investigation reveals that at approximately 9:15 p.m. the van was traveling east on George Washington Blvd., in the area of #155.

Simultaneously, in the same area the pedestrian was attempting to cross the roadway.

The Ford struck the pedestrian, who was thrown into the roadway. The van driver remained at the scene.

The pedestrian suffered serious life-threatening injuries and was transported by EMS to South Shore Hospital, where he was later pronounced deceased. The van driver was not injured. Neither man’s name is being released at this time.
