Troopers Arrest Three after Shooting in Dorchester

At approximately 2:50 a.m. troopers assigned to State Police South Boston responded to reports of shots fired in Dorchester on Gallivan Boulevard in the area of Washington Street. Upon their arrival they observed a single bullet hole in the trunk area of the vehicle belonging to the reporting party. No injuries resulted in the incident. The victim was able to describe the suspect vehicle as a gray BMW with Rhode Island license plates.

At approximately 3:30 a.m. troopers assigned to State Police Foxboro observed the suspect vehicle traveling on Route 95 southbound in Attleboro. With the assistance of Attleboro Police, the vehicle was stopped and three occupants were placed in custody without incident. No weapon was located in the vehicle, however, a large capacity 9mm magazine was found.

This incident remains under investigation by troopers assigned to the State Police Barracks’ in Foxboro and South Boston, Troop H Detective Unit, Crime Scene Services, and Suffolk County State Police Detective Unit. No other information is available at this time. The names of those arrested, along with their charges, will be released at a later time.
