The driver of the Ford F-150 killed in yesterday’s crash has been identified as Michael Kulas, 72 of St. Albans, ME.
Preliminary investigation shows Kulas may have suffered a serious medical event causing him to stop and exit his vehicle. After exiting the F-150, Kulas was struck and fatally injured by the truck, the transmission of which had remained in drive.
The exact circumstances in the crash remain under investigation. No other information is available at this time.
March 17, 2019 – At approximately 4:10 p.m. today Massachusetts State Troopers assigned to the Foxboro Barracks responded to a single vehicle crash on Route 95 in Canton. For reasons still under investigation, the 72-year-old male operator stopped and exited his 2006 Ford F-150, then was subsequently struck and fatally injured by his truck.
The cause of this crash remains under investigation with assistance from the State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Section and Crime Scene Services Section.
The identity of the victim is being withheld pending family notification. No other information is available at this time. Please do not contact the barracks directly.
