MSP, Local Police Respond to Report of Shooting at Crown Plaza Hotel, Natick (Developing)

Shortly before 0300 hours numerous Massachusetts State Police units responded to the Crown Plaza Hotel, 1360 Worcester Rd (Route 9 east), Natick, for what was reported to be an “active shooter.”

Preliminary information suggests that at least one shot was fired by a suspect at the hotel. The suspect is thought to be inside the hotel. One person has been located with what is reported to be a minor injury. (Those are preliminary facts and subject to change as the investigation continues.) 

A perimeter has been established and a search for a suspect is ongoing.  The hotel is being evacuated of guests and employees.

Natick Police have primary jurisdiction. State Police units on scene to assist include patrols from the MSP Barracks in Framingham, Weston, Brighton, Milton and the Tunnels, Troop H field supervisors, K-9 units, and Special Tactical Operations Team assets, with the MSP Air Wing providing overwatch. Framingham Police units are also on scene.
