A crash on Route 133 in Georgetown this morning resulted in injuries to three people.
Preliminary investigation by Trooper Matthew Topping indicates that at about 10:00 a.m., a collision occurred between a 2018 Ford SUV and a 2015 Isuzu box truck on Route 133 at Route 95 in Georgetown. As a result of the collision, the driver of the SUV, a 79-year-old woman, and her passenger, an 83-year-old man, both from Georgetown, were transported to Anna Jacques Hospital in Newburyport for treatment of minor and serious injuries respectively. The operator of the box truck, a 22-year-old Gloucester man, was transported to Anna Jacques Hospital and then immediately flown by medical helicopter to Tufts Medical Center in Boston for treatment of serious injuries.
The cause of this crash remains under investigation with assistance from the State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Section and Crime Scene Services Section. No charges have been filed at this time.
State Police were assisted on scene by Georgetown Fire and EMS and Georgetown Police.
