February 27, 2019 – This morning at about 2:50 a.m., a single vehicle crash on the Marston Street ramp to Route 495 north resulted in the death of the driver.
Preliminary investigation by Trooper Thomas Hollow indicates that a 56-year-old man, driving a 2006 Pontiac Solstice, lost control of the vehicle on the Marston Street ramp and rolled over. The man was determined deceased at the scene. His identity is being withheld until next of kin is notified.
The ramp from Marston Street to the lower deck heading toward Route 495 south were closed for approximately two and a half hours.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation with assistance from members of the State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Section (CARS) and Crime Scene Services Section (CSSS).
Troopers were assisted on scene by MassDOT, Lawrence Fire and EMS and the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.
