Massachusetts State Police Release — 04022018 — Two Arrested For Cocaine Trafficking

On Monday March 31, 2018, at approximately 12:30 a.m., Trooper Anthony Lavigne and Trooper Patrick Styckiewicz of the State Police Shelburne Falls Barracks were on patrol of Route 91 in Deerfield, when they observed a gray Lexus operating with the front driver and passenger windows highly tinted.

Trooper Lavigne made contact with the driver, subsequently identifying the driver as MELISSA BURNOR a, 26-year old woman, from Colchester, VT. The passenger was identified as STEPHON DAWSON a, 29-year old man, from Springfield. As a result of an investigation, both were found to be in possession of cocaine.

Both were placed under arrest and transported to the State Police Shelburne Falls Barracks for booking. Bail was set at $50,000 for each.

BURNOR was charged with the following offenses:

  1. Trafficking in Cocaine
  2. Conspiracy to violate drug laws
  3. Possession of class A
  4. Possession of class E
  5. Excessive Window tint
  6. Tire tread depth
  7. Unlicensed operation of MV

DAWSON was charged with the following offenses:

  1. Trafficking in Cocaine
  2. Conspiracy to violate drug laws
  3. Possession of class E
