Massachusetts State Police Release – 01282018 – Traffic Stop in Sturbridge Leads to Cocaine, Heroin, and Three Arrests

On Friday evening, at approximately 6:41 p.m., Trooper Sergio Figueiredo of the State Police Barracks in Sturbridge stopped a Chevrolet Impala on Route 84 eastbound, just prior to exit 2 in Sturbridge, for several motor vehicle violations.

As a result of an investigation, the driver, identified as DAVON V. RUSSELL, 25, of New Haven, Connecticut, was found to be in possession of cocaine and heroin. A passenger, identified as MARQUIS J. HINES, 29, of Hamden, Connecticut was also found to be in possession of heroin. Another passenger, MIGUEL S. NONOSSI, 28, of New Haven, Connecticut was found to have two warrants for his arrest for prior charges.

All three were placed under arrest and brought to the Sturbridge Barracks for booking.

RUSSELL was charged with the following offenses:

1.            Trafficking in Cocaine
2.            Possess to Distribute Class A (Heroin)
3.            Arrestee Furnish False Name
4.            Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle
5.            Marked Lanes Violation
6.            Fail to Signal
7.            Fail to Wear Seat Belt

HINES was charged with the following offenses:

1.            Trafficking in Heroin
2.            Arrestee Furnish False Name
3.            Fail to Wear Seat Belt

NONOSSI was charged with the following offenses:

1.            Failure to Wear Seat Belt
2.            Warrant
3.            Warrant

All three are scheduled to appear in Dudley District Court tomorrow for arraignment.
