Massachusetts State Police Media Release – 06232017 – State Police Investigating Pedestrian Hit and Run in Needham
Tonight at about 10:00 p.m., State Police received a report of a hit and run crash involving a pedestrian on Route 95 southbound at Exit 19 in Needham resulting in injuries to a pedestrian.
Preliminary investigation by Trooper John Micciche indicates that a 22-year-old Roslindale man had pulled his vehicle into the breakdown lane, as the engine was overheating. The man exited his vehicle and was subsequently struck by a vehicle which was traveling southbound past his location. The vehicle that struck the pedestrian did not stop and continued traveling southbound.
The pedestrian was transported to Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital for treatment of serious injuries.
State Police are seeking to identify the operator of the vehicle that struck this pedestrian. If anyone has any information regarding this crash, please contact the State Police at 508-820-2250.
