Massachusetts State Police Media Release -02162017- Roxbury Man Arrested for Narcotics Charges in Leominster
Last evening, at about 9:40 pm., Trooper Justin Burd stopped a white Infiniti FX 35 on Sixth Street in Leominster for not having a valid registration. The operator produced a Rhode Island license identifying him as LUIS NIEVES.
Upon further investigation and search of the motor vehicle, Troopers Burd and Michael Coflesky found 8 grams of cocaine, 12 grams of heroin and 12 grams of crack cocaine in the car’s center console. NIEVES was placed under arrest and transported to the Leominster Barracks to be booked.
Through fingerprinting, troopers determined that NIEVES was actually HECTOR SANCHEZ, 44, of Roxbury. SANCHEZ was criminally charged with the following offenses:
-Trafficking in Cocaine;
-Possession of a Class A Substance with Intent to Distribute, 2ndOffense;
-Furnishing False Name to Police; and
-Conspiracy to Violate Drug Law.
He also was issued a civil citation for Speeding; Operating a Motor Vehicle with a Suspended License, 2nd Offense; and Possession of False/Stolen RMV Documents.
SANCHEZ was expected to be arraigned at Leominster District Court today.
