Governor Charlie Baker and other officials from state and local agencies, as well as representatives from the Boston Pops and B4 Productions, on Thursday, June 25 will brief media on plans for this year’s Independence Day concert and fireworks show.
The briefing will be held at 10:30 a.m. on the lawn in front of the Hatch Shell on Boston’s Esplanade. Topics will include security, safety, and traffic guidelines, as well as general information about the event. Speakers will include Governor Baker, Energy and Environmental Affairs Secretary Matthew Beaton, MSP Colonel Timothy Alben, Boston EMS Chief James Hooley, Steve MacDonald of B4 Productions, and Boston Pops Artistic Director Dennis Alves, who will discuss the musical program.
The rehearsal concert for this year’s celebration will be held on Friday, July 3 with the concert and fireworks show on Saturday the 4th.
