State Police, DA’s Task Force Dismantle Springfield Drug Operation​

Massachusetts State Police and members of a Hampden County drug task force arrested three Springfield men yesterday after executing a search warrant at 35 Elizabeth Street in the city’s Pine Point section.

Police seized more than 1,200 bags of heroin, 35 grams of cocaine, approximately 35 grams of marijuana,  approximately $5,890 in cash, and a 2006 Infinity in the raid.

Members of District Attorney Anthony D. Gulluni’s Narcotic Task Force, State Police detectives assigned to District Attorney Gulluni’s office, Massachusetts State Police uniform officers, and ATF Task Force officers arrested GEOVANNI SALDANA, 22; HARRISON OBUMZIE, 29; and ISAIAH SANTIAGO, 19.

Each was charged with possession with intent to distribute heroin, cocaine, and marijuana. SALDANA was additionally charged with trafficking in heroin and trafficking cocaine.

Including last night’s arrests, more than 2,900 bags of heroin were seized during the two-week investigation into this drug distribution operation in Springfield.

All three are scheduled for arraignment in Springfield District Court on Friday morning.
