Massachusetts State Police Release – 01052015 – Man Arrested for Trafficking Cocaine

On Saturday January 3, 2015 at approximately 2:10 p.m., Trooper Chanel Moreau of the State Police Barracks in Andover stopped a GMC Terrain on Route 213 in the city of Methuen for motor vehicle violations. The operator was identified as MIGUEL A. NERIS, 31, of Lawrence.

As a result of an investigation, NERIS was found to be in possession of approximately 20 grams of what is believed to be cocaine. NERIS was also found to be in possession of a sum of cash believed to be from the purchase and sale of narcotics. NERIS was placed under arrest.

NERIS was charged with the following:

  1. Trafficking in Cocaine
  2. Possession to Distribute Cocaine
  3. Operate Motor Vehicle with License Suspended, Subsequent Offense
  4. Improper Use of Mobile Phone
  5. License Not in Possession

NERIS was brought to the Andover Barracks for booking. NERIS was held on $10,000 bail pending his arraignment in Lawrence District Court.
