Massachusetts State Police Release – 12172014 – Man Arrested for Trafficking Cocaine

2014_12_16 Tpr Cornell Cocaine ArrestLast evening, at approximately 10:05 p.m., Trooper Andrew Cornell of the State Police Barracks in Charlton stopped a Mitsubishi Outlander on the Massachusetts Turnpike, Interstate 90 Westbound in the town of Westfield for a motor vehicle violation. The operator was identified as AMMAR K. BROWN, 35, of Schenectady, New York.

As a result of an investigation, BROWN was found to be in possession of approximately 2,000 grams of what is believed to be cocaine. BROWN was placed under arrest. Trooper Cornell was assisted by Sergeant Todd Renaud.

BROWN was charged with the following:

  1. Trafficking in Cocaine
  2. Mass Pike Speeding Over Posted Limit

BROWN was brought to the Westfield Barracks for booking. BROWN was held on $50,000 bail and was scheduled for arraignment this morning in Westfield District Court.
