Massachusetts State Police Media Release – 11082014 – State Police Respond to Vehicle VS Pedestrian Crash in Lakeville

On November 8, 2014 at about 5:40 p.m., State Police from the Middleboro Barracks responded to a report of a crash involving a vehicle and a pedestrian on Route 140 South in the area of exit 10 in Lakeville. Information collected in the investigation by Trooper Eric Resendes indicates that 46-year-old DARREN TAYLOR of Lakeville was struck by a 1994 BMW 325i as he was walking across Route 140 South to assist another motorist who had crashed in the median in that area.  TAYLOR was transported from the scene by medical helicopter to Rhode Island Hospital for treatment of serious injuries.

The driver of the BMW, 46-year-old ANNA AGUIAR of Arlington, was uninjured. She assisted at the scene in medically stabilizing TAYLOR until EMS arrived. No charges have been filed.  Lakeville Fire and EMS assisted at the scene.
