Massachusetts State Police Media Release – 11082014 – State Police Arrest Nantucket Man For Alleged Marijuana Distribution

On November 7, 2014, shortly after 8:00 p.m., Trooper Kevin Bates of the State Police Barracks in Nantucket stopped a 2014, GMC 1500 pickup, which was being operated without any lights on Sparks Avenue in Nantucket. After a subsequent investigation, the operator of the vehicle, 24-year-old MATTHEW FRY of Nantucket, was placed under arrest for Possession of a Class D Substance (Marijuana) with the intent to distribute. He was issued a civil citation for Operating in the Nighttime without Lighting.  In addition to a quantity of suspected marijuana, Trooper Bates seized more than $14,000.00.

FRY was transported to the Nantucket Police Department for booking and held pending bail. He will be arraigned on Monday in Nantucket District Court.
