UPDATE–Second Suspect in Pike Arsons in Custody

The second suspect in the arson fires set along the side of the Massachusetts Turnpike this morning has just been taken into custody at a general store in Ludlow. Troopers responded there and located him after determining a man had called a local taxi company asking how much it would cost for a cab ride from that store to Albany.

The second suspect is THOMAS LAW, 36, whose last known addresses were in upstate New York. Criminal charges against him and his accomplice are being determined.

The items that were burned at two locations — along the westbound side of the highway in Sturbridge and Warren — were paint cans and other debris. The examination of the suspects’ truck and other evidence is ongoing.

No further information is being released at this time.
