Massachusetts State Police Release – 08012014 – State Police Arrest Man with Drugs Intended for Distribution in Holyoke
Today at approximately 9:42 a.m., Trooper David Vincent of the Springfield Barracks was patrolling Interstate 391 northbound in the city of Holyoke, when he observed a GMC Yukon that had an expired registration. The vehicle then exited into the city of Holyoke. Trooper Vincent stopped the vehicle on South Canal Street.
As a result of an investigation, the driver, identified as JULIO IZQUIERDO, 35, of Holyoke was found to be in possession of marijuana packaged for distribution. IZQUIERDO was also in unlawful possession of Suboxone, a controlled Class B substance.
IZQUIERDO was placed under arrest and brought to the Springfield Barracks for booking.
JULIO IZQUIERDO was charged in Holyoke District Court on the following offenses:
1) Possession of a Class D Substance with the Intent to Distribute (Marijuana)
2) Possession of a Class B Substance (Suboxone)
3) Operating an Unregistered Motor Vehicle
