Waltham Man Arrested for Possession of Narcotics and Firearm

Massachusetts State Police Media Release–062914–State Police Arrest Waltham Man for Possession of Narcotics and Firearm

Last night at approximately 2:50 a.m., Trooper Daniel Navin of the Athol Barracks was on patrol on Rt.2 East in the area of Exit 24 in Westminster when his attention was drawn to a 2003 Honda Civic.  As a result of a motor vehicle stop and subsequent investigation by Trooper Navin, the passenger in the vehicle, 21 year-old GEORGE PIERRE-CHARLES of Waltham, MA, was arrested on an outstanding warrant.

He is also charged with the following:
1. Possession of a Covert Firearm
2. Possession of Class D Narcotics with Intent to Distribute
3. Unlicensed Possession of a Firearm
PIERRE-CHARLES remains in custody on $7700 bail.  He is scheduled to be arraigned in Gardner District Court on Monday.
