Authorities Seek Information Regarding Body found in Sandwich

The Massachusetts State Police Detective Unit – Cape and Islands, and the Sandwich Police Department are investigating the discovery of a body at Town Neck Beach in Sandwich on June 04, 2014.  The body was located in the dune area and was wrapped in a plastic tarp.  The body was mutilated in a manner which prevents traditional identification methods, as the head, legs, and hands were severed.  The body is that of a black male, approximately 5’8” to 6’0” tall, 220-230 pounds, and in good health but not overly muscular.  The body has a 3 to 4 inch scar on the right side of the abdomen, possibly a result of hernia surgery.  No other physical identifiers are available at this time.

Associated with the body was a dark blue t-shirt, the front bearing italic lettered writing “I got serviced.”  The back of the shirt bears a logo for “Windustrial” and other vendors.  According to employees at Windustrial, the t-shirt is over six years old.  Also associated with the body was a “Cart-All” two wheel dolly that has a blue plastic base, which can be folded in along with the wheels.

Anyone with information regarding this individual is asked to please contact Massachusetts State Police Trooper Matthew Lavoie at 508-790-5799 or Sandwich Police Detective Al Robichaud at 508-888-3343.
