Massachusetts State Police Media Release – 06022014 – State Police Investigate Fatal Crash in Seekonk
This evening at approximately 9:55 p.m., troopers from the Dartmouth Barracks responded to reports of a two-vehicle crash, involving a car and a motorcycle, on Interstate 195 Eastbound, between Exits 1 and 2 in Seekonk. Initial reports reported that the operator of the motorcycle, a 2012 Suzuki, for reasons still under investigation, struck a 2003 Nissan Altima from behind, lost control and crashed.
The motorcycle operator, a 24-year-old male from South Attleboro was transported to Rhode Island Hospital by Seekonk EMS where he was determined to be deceased as a result of the injuries sustained from the crash.
The Nissan Altima driver, a 58-year-old male, and passenger, a 50-year-old female both from Swansea, were not injured.
The right lane has been closed for the crash investigation. No names will be released tonight, until next-of-kin have been notified.
The remaining facts and circumstances of the crash are currently under investigation by troopers from the State Police Dartmouth Barracks. State Police Collision Analysis Reconstruction Section (CARS), State Police Crime Scene Services Section (CSSS), Seekonk Fire/EMS Departments, East Providence Police Department and the Massachusetts Department of Transportation are assisting at the scene.

The deceased is identified as FREDERICK H. HOARD III, 24, of South Attleboro. No further information is currently available as this crash is still under investigation.
