Massachusetts State Police Release — 05302014 — State Police Investigate Fatal Crash on Route 95 in Norwood
Today at 4:22 p.m., Troopers assigned to the State Police Foxboro Barracks responded to a head on crash on Route 95 south at Exit 11 in Norwood. Preliminary investigation reveals that a 2013 Range Rover operated by Charles Iarrobino, 53, of Foxboro was traveling north on Route 95 when for reasons that remain under investigation, it crossed over the grass median into the southbound travel lanes.
The Range Rover struck a 2000 Toyota Camry head on. Iarrobino was transported by ambulance to Norwood Hospital with minor injuries. A 59 –year- old woman from Foster, Rhode Island was a passenger in the Toyota and she was pronounced deceased at the scene. Two additional occupants of the Toyota, a 28- year -old Providence, Rhode Island man and a 62 –year- old Foster, Rhode Island man sustained serious injuries and were transported by medical helicopter to Boston Medical Center.
The Range Rover then struck a 2012 Ford Edge before coming to rest. The operator of the Ford, Nina Battista, 25, of Quincy and an unidentified passenger were transported by ambulance to Norwood Hospital.
The facts and circumstances surrounding this crash remain under investigation at this time. More information will be released tomorrow. Please do not contact the barracks directly.
Update at 9:03 p.m.:
The 2013 Range Rover had a 5-year-old male passenger who was transported by ambulance to Norwood Hospital for evaluation. The passenger of the 2012 Ford Edge has been identified as Katlynn Landry, 25, of Quincy.
The deceased female was 58 years old.
The deceased 59 year old female is identified as Jacqueline Fellow of Foster, RI. The two male occupants are identified as Nicholas Fellow,28 of Providence and Douglas Fellow, 62 of Foster, RI, who sustained serious injuries.
