Massachusetts State Police Release–04042014–25 Grams of Heroin Seized in Taunton Motor Vehicle Stop

On Thursday April 3, 2013 at approximately 7:00p.m., Trooper Paul Dunderdale assigned to the Troop D Community Action Team (CAT), was on patrol on Oak Street in Taunton when he stopped a Hyundai for motor vehicle violations.

The motor vehicle had two occupants inside.  The operator was identified as KEVIN MILES, 38, of Lakeville, MA, and the passenger was identified as KEVIN CAMBRIA, 29, of Taunton, MA.

Trooper Keith Ledin assisted Trooper Dunderdale on this stop.

As a result of an investigation and search of the motor vehicle, Trooper Dunderdale and Trooper Ledin, seized 25 grams of heroin, and two thousand and five hundred dollars cash.  MILES and CAMBRIA were arrested and transported to the State Police Barracks in Middleborough.  They were held pending appearance at Taunton District Court.

 

KEVIN MILES was charged with the following offenses:

Conspiracy to violate drug laws

Knowingly being present where heroin is kept

Speeding

 

KEVIN CAMBRIA was charged with the following offenses:

Trafficking heroin

Conspiracy to violate drug laws
