Massachusetts State Police Release – 11082013 – State Police Motor Vehicle Stop in Millbury Leads to Arrest of Dump Truck Driver
On Friday November 8, 2013 at approximately 1:50 p.m., Trooper Scott McGuire of the Massachusetts State Police Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Section observed a Mack 600 4-axle dump truck in Millbury on Main Street, owned by A. Savasta Trucking of Charlton. Trooper McGuire observed a commercial operator violation. Trooper McGuire had the driver follow him to a safe location on West Street, so he could perform a commercial vehicle inspection.
Upon finishing the inspection, and finding five mechanical violations, Trooper McGuire then spoke to the operator, identified as MICHAEL H. HENEY, 49, of Northbridge. After speaking with HENEY and completing his investigation, HENEY was placed under arrest. After the arrest, during a search of the vehicle, a cooler containing Budweiser beer was located. HENEY was brought to the Massachusetts State Police Barracks in Millbury where he was booked. HENEY will be arraigned in Worcester District Court on Tuesday.
HENEY was charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence of intoxicating liquor.
