Massachusetts State Police News Release–04082013 Sobriety Checkpoint Results

The Massachusetts State Police conducted two sobriety checkpoints over the weekend in Canton and Lowell. The checkpoints began with saturation patrols and ended with the operation of the actual checkpoint.


On  Friday, April 5th, H Troop conducted a checkpoint on Neponset Street in in Canton resulting in the arrest of six people for OUI alcohol and drugs with two criminal summons and issued 88 civil motor vehicle citations.

SUSAN FRAZIER, 49,of  Hull                                                                                   OUI liquor, marked lanes violation,  speeding and unlicensed operation of a motor   vehicle


CHRISTOPHER RILEY, 27, of Mansfield                                                                 OUI 2nd offense, speeding, marked lanes violation



All persons arrested are expected to appear today in Stoughton District Court. The Massachusetts State Police per policy do not release

booking photos or so-called “mug shots”. Please do not call the barracks directly.




On Saturday April 6th,  A Troop conducted a sobriety checkpoint on route 3A, Thorndike Street in Lowell. Twelve people were arrested for OUI alcohol and drugs:

RAMON MORALES, 28, of Lowell                                                                          Operating with a suspended license, seatbelt violation

Also arrested in the checkpoint was a NICHOLAS SANTANA, 24, of Lowell. He was found to be carrying a firearm without being

properly licensed and charged with the following:

Carrying a firearm without a license

Carrying ammunition without being licensed

Possession of an open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle

Unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle

Receiving stolen property over $250.00 dollars

Carrying a firearm without a license 2nd offense.
