On the evening of November 19, 2025, Massachusetts State Police Mount Jay passed away from complications from cancer. Jay, a 12 ½ year old Percheron, joined the Mounted Unit at the age of 10 in March of 2023 from CNY Event Ranch in Oswego NY.
