Massachusetts State Police Media Release – 08282017 – State Police Charge Charlton Man with Possession with Intent to Distribute Meth
On Saturday, August 26, 2017, Massachusetts State Police arrested a Charlton man on an outstanding warrant and in the process, determined him to be in possession of a substance believed to be methamphetamine.
Trooper Scott Shea received information related to the whereabouts of RYAN CONTE, 32, of Charlton, who was a suspect in the theft and misuse of a credit card out of Auburn earlier in the month.
Trooper Shea and Trooper Michael Coan located CONTE at 44 Stafford Street in Charlton. He was placed under arrest on an outstanding warrant for Larceny Over $250 out of Lawrence District Court.
While at that location, Trooper Shea observed a substance believed to be methamphetamine. With assistance from a trooper assigned to the Worcester County State Police Detective Unit, troopers executed a search warrant at that residence and additionally discovered Class E pills, which were not legitimately prescribed to anyone at that residence.
CONTE was transported to the Auburn Police Department for booking. He will be transported to Worcester District Court this morning.
A warrant is being sought in Dudley District Court for Possession with Intent to Distribute a Class B Substance (Methamphetamine) and Possession of a Class E Substance.
