Massachusetts State Police Release – 01132015 – Trooper Arrests Two Men With A Firearm In Belchertown

At 1:40 a.m., Trooper Ryan Fogerty of the State Police Barracks in Belchertown stopped a Ford Explorer travelling northbound on Route 202 in the town of Belchertown for a marked lanes violation. The operator, 22-year-old TROY HARRIS of Springfield, and the passenger, 21-year-old JAQUAN GREEN of Holyoke, did not have valid Mass. licenses. Upon further investigation a Walther PPK .380 was found inside the vehicle. The weapon was loaded, with a round in the chamber and 5 rounds in the magazine.

Both subjects were arrested on charges including unlawful possession of a firearm without a license and possession of ammunition without an FID card. HARRIS was additionally charged with unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and a marked lanes violation.
