Massachusetts State Police Media Release—11142013—Motor Vehicle Stop Leads to a 3rd Offense OUI Arrest

Yesterday at 12:50 am, Trooper Mark Robbins assigned to the Massachusetts State Police Barracks in Millbury was conducting stationary patrol on Route 146 southbound in the city of Worcester when he observed a gray Toyota pickup truck commit motor vehicle violations. Tpr Robbins activated his emergency lights and siren and stopped the vehicle.

Tpr Robbins approached the motor vehicle when he observed the operator, who was identified as KRISTEN MORGAN, 45, from Worcester, opening the passenger door.   After an investigation Tpr Robbins became suspicious that MORGAN was operating under the influence and asked her to exit the vehicle. MORGAN got out of her car and attempted to flee across Rt. 146. A brief struggle ensued and Tpr Robbins was able to place MORGAN under arrest.

MORGAN was transported to the State Police Barracks in Millbury where she was booked. MORGAN was held on bail pending her arraignment at Worcester District Court.

KRISTEN MORGAN was charged with the following offenses:

1. Speeding

2. OUI Liquor, 3rd Offense

3. Operating a Motor Vehicle with a Suspended License

4. Negligent Operation of a Motor Vehicle

5. Possession of Class B

6. Resisting Arrest

7. A&B on a PO
