Serious Crash on Ramp from I 90 Eastbound (Mass Pike) to Route 95 Northbound in Weston

Massachusetts State Police Release–05-14-2013–Serious Crash on Ramp from I 90 Eastbound (Mass Pike) to Route 95 Northbound in Weston
 
This is Preliminary advisory
Time of crash 12:50 p.m.
Troopers from the State Police Barracks in Weston and Framingham are on the scene of a three car crash in the ramp from the Mass Pike eastbound to Route 95 northbound in  Weston.
Preliminary reports from the scene are that there is one person that is trapped in one of the vehicles.  Newton and  Weston Fire Departments are on the scene working to free the victim.  This victim appears to have suffered life threatening injuries.
The condition of others involved is not known at This time
The ramps from the Mass Pike eastbound to Route 95 Northbound/southbound as well as from Route 95 northbound to the Mass Pike are closed.
Additional troopers from the CARS are on scene as are representatives from Mass DOT to assist with redirecting traffic around crash location.
More information will be released as it becomes available.
UPDATE:
 
One of the persons involved in the crash has died as a result of injuries sustained in the crash.
Two others sustained injuries and were transported to an area hospital via ambulance.
 We will not be releasing the name of the deceased person pending notification of next of kin.
The  identifications of the two others who were injured will be released if appropriate once their conditions are known.
The ramps remain closed.
This is a very a active investigation.

Crash scene has been cleared.  All roadways open.

UPDATE:
The deceased in this crash is the mother of the two others who were injured.  All were in the same vehicle at the time of the crash. The injured children suffered non  life threatening injuries and were transported via ambulance to Beth Israel Hospital.
No other involved parties were injured in this crash.
The deceased will be identified when the appropriate notifications have been made.
Because of the age of the deceased’s children they will not be identified.
The cause of the accident and whether anyone will face charges are still under investigation by Troopers from the State Police Barracks in Weston.
